The homesteader heart is one of self-sufficiency & preparedness
A lot of tourists visit our pioneer homestead turned B&B here in Escalante, Utah. Our goal at Canyons Bed & Breakfast is to provide fresh food for our guests and to become more self-sufficient each year. We're canning and drying our fruit, expanding our gardens and serving farm-fresh eggs. Our guest enjoy whole grain sourdough bread, and they pick fruit from our trees! We think self-sufficiency is important, and we welcome anyone who would like to learn along with us. Our best recipes and tips will be shared here.
